Captain Ronald Reis

Captain Ronald Reis is a retired naval aviator and senior executive with more than 28 years of leadership experience in military aviation and global operations. He commanded the USS John C. Stennis from 2011 to 2013, leading thousands of sailors through two combat deployments supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn. Under his command, the ship earned the 2012 Ramage Award for operational excellence. A highly experienced aviator, he flew the Grumman EA-6B Prowler and completed over 700 carrier arrested landings.
Following his naval service, Captain Reis held senior leadership roles at GE Oil & Gas, where he led complex engineering and operational initiatives across global markets. He now supports the Aviation Brain Health Initiative (ABHI), bringing deep expertise in high-performance aviation, leadership, and mission-critical operations, along with a strong commitment to the safety and long-term well-being of aviation professionals.
